Supported volunteers (SVs) in Tanzania work directly with Visions in Action to develop programs in the country and to build up the classic volunteer program.

SVs are hired based on relevant professional skills and work full-time with Visions' in-country staff. They live in Visions in Action's group housing.

Visions in Action will arrange for a work permit and local transportation to the work site and will provide shared housing, basic health coverage, and a modest monthly stipend.  SVs are responsible for the cost of their airfare, entry visa, and pre-departure health costs.
