Shaun Skelton, PhD Director
Shaun is responsible for the overall operations of the organization as he alternates between the US and Africa. He founded Visions while teaching management at the University of Nairobi in Kenya in 1989. He has 20 years of international development experience in 18 countries in Africa and Latin America, including work as a consultant to USAID, UNEP, Shelter Afrique, Peace Corps and UNICEF. He was the Country Director of the American Refugee Committee in Liberia, and served in similar posts in the Congo(DRC) and Sudan for Oxfam and UMCOR. He co-founded the Stanford Volunteer Network at Stanford University, and was on the national staff of the Overseas Development Network, where he co-founded and was the first national coordinator of Bike-Aid, an annual cross-country bikeathon for global development. He has taught international development as an adjunct professor at American University, and has organized five of the national Working for Global Justice conferences in the DC area. Shaun holds a Ph.D. in International Development Management from George Washington University, an M.S. in Engineering from Stanford University, and a B.S. from Marquette University. He is fluent in Swahili and conversant in French.

Suzanne Bach US Program Manager
Suzanne has worked with and implemented a wide variety of advocacy and education projects through foundations, community based organizations, and schools in the US, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. A recipient of the John Ben Snow Fellowship in Nonprofit Management, she earned her Masters of Public Administration (MPA) at the Maxwell School for Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. She received her BA in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies from Columbia University.

Gaddiel Baah
International Exchange Program Manager
Gaddiel has over 6 years of experience working with international organizations in West Africa and the United States in several fields, including youth development, human rights, media and international development. He is managing Vision in Action’s international exchange program for Francophone West Africa, and will be responsible for planning, implementing and coordinating all aspects of the program. He speaks Akan, French, and Spanish. Gaddiel holds a J.D. from the University of Maryland, as well as a B.A. in English and French from the University of Ghana.
