Rebecca Schorr

South Africa Programme Coordinator

Rebecca has gained experience in the NGO sector in Latin America and Africa. She received her BA in Political Science and a minor in History at Western Washington University. Rebecca volunteered for numerous wildlife conservation organisations, including a game park in Zimbabwe, animal rescue in Ecuador, and sea turtle conservation in Costa Rica. Since arriving in South Africa, her focus has been primarily on human rights and advocacy, doing work with the AIDS Consortium, The Human Rights Institute of South Africa, and Planact. She has gained experience with community based organisations, HIV/AIDS, advocacy, and housing projects in South Africa and the Southern African region.
