Sarah Rosenbloom
Tanzania Program Development Supported Volunteer
Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Sarah graduated from Columbia University with a degree in English Literature and went on to enjoy a nearly ten-year career in the book publishing industry as a publicist and marketing coordinator in New York City.  In 2007, with an eye for seeing more of the world and helping those less fortunate than herself, Sarah joined the Visions in Action program as a Classic Volunteer based in Moshi and worked for a local NGO known as WODEF (Widows, Orphans, and Disabled Development Foundation).  After a brief return to New York during which she earned a TESOL certificate from Teachers College at Columbia University, Sarah came back to Tanzania in September 2008 and re-joined Visions to start the New Year as a Supported Volunteer.  She will be helping to acclimate new volunteers to life in Moshi as well as seeking new resources of funding and partnership for the Visions program as a whole.  She is proficient in French and Swahili and has just climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro.
